Back when Russia was just a small country, pushed around by other countries and tormented by General Winter, and when his sanity was still somewhat stable but still slipping away, Russia was a lonely and poor country. But he never gave up hope. Especially after he met someone. Someone who always stood beside him, kept him warm during the harsh winters, someone who cared for and loved him... And vise versa. And it wasn't one of his sisters either.
On a usual cold day in the small country that is Russia, the small boy in tattered clothes walks through the snow, not heading in any specific direction. He was just walking. He found a patch of ground that wasn't covered by snow under a tree, and sat down in that spot.... and started to cry.
"What's wrong?" He heared a small voice say. He looked up, but saw no one. "Who's there?" He asked. Just then, a young girl about the age of him walked up. Wearing (favorite color) winter clothing, Her (hair color) hair was long and almost touching the ground, and her (eye color) eyes seemed to sparkle with hope, caring, and remorse for the boy. She smiled sweetly and got onto her knees infront of him so she's eye to eye. "Who are you?" Russa asked, fighting back a small blush that crept across his face, of course it was cold outside, so his face was going to turn red anyway.
"My name is ______." The girl said "Why are you so upset?" "...I'm always bullied by other countries and General Winter." He said, starting to cry again. The girl wiped his tears away, and hugged him. "Sounds like you just need a friend." The girl said with a calming voice with a slight giggle. Her hug instantly warmed both Russia, and his heart. The girl then broke the hug, took Russia's hand, helped him up and started to walk with him somewhere. "Where are going? There is not much to do here, Da." He said while he frowned. The girl just kept smiling, and looks back at him. He blushed again and looked away.
The two stopped at an open feild. No trees, and the shrubbs where dead and covered with snow. She then let go of his hand. "Maybe there isn't much to do here, or much of anything at all. But watch this." She said as he looked at him "You like flowers right?" "Flowers? we do not see many around here, da..." He said. The girl suddenly started to run around the edge of the feild, the snow melting and flowers growing in its place. Russia watched in awe, never has he seen so many flowers, and more were yet to come. The girl made a major leap into the center of the feild where all the snow melted, and the melting spread in a spiral until the spirls met the outline of flowers of the feild. in the spiral, flowers bloomed, and in the center, a single sunflower that bloomed, over towered the two children, even if one stood on the other's shoulders. the shrubs were alive and blooming flowers aswell. Roses. The girl walked back over to Russia, careful not to step on any of the flowers. "How did you do that?" Russa asked, looking at the feild. "Ah ah ah, I never share my secrets." She said with a smirk.
The two spent the rest of the day together, right to the setting sun. And even then did the girl stay with him. Russia was far from his home, and traveling at night was dangerous. But they were both tired, and they sat in the center of the feild that the girl made bloom. He put his scarf around them as they huddled close to each other. They stayed warm, even as it started to snow. "..._____" He said. "Hm?" "... Stay my friend forever, da?" He said. The girl smiled again, and nodded before drifting off to sleep. He drifted off the sleep aswell soon after.

"And that is why I like sunflowers so much" Russia said with a sweet smile, now an adult. America asked him why he liked sunflowers so much, all the countries were around when Russia was telling the story, and all of them were shocked... and Italy was bawling. "That is such a sweet story, Ve~!" "Where is that girl now, aru?" China asked "Yes, we wourd arl rike to know." Japan added. "I'm not sure. The last time I saw ______, we were teenagers and I knocked her up. The next morning she was gone. But I know that she is always with me."
"That last part we didn't need to know." England said, blushing from the thought. Of course they were all blushing from that thought. "Honhonhon~ How lucky were you to find someone so beautiful. Maybe one day if I ever meet her..." France said, being a perv as usual. "If you talk like that or even think of doing anything to her, i'm going to pound your face to dust." Russia said with the normal sweet smile, but with his purple aura. With that, France hid.
"So, how do you know that she's still around?" America asked. "Well, every spring, that same spiral in the feild blooms, and that one sunflower in the center stays no matter how harsh General Winter can be." "Perhaps she is magic, and thats how the flowers always stay a bloom." England suggested "Don't be a dummkopf. There is no such thing as magic." Germany said. "I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT THERE IS SUCH THING!!!!" england yelled. Then a whole argument of if magic is real or not breaks out. "Da, it is real." Russia said, the only one who wasn't in the argument. after he said that, everyone shut up. Then the same girl, older now of course, was standing next to russia. "She said so." Russia said with an even bigger smile. "And I think after this argument, all of you who dont think magic is real, your farmlands will be unharvestable for the next month during the harvest season" The girl said. "WHAT?!?!" all of them said, well, the ones who argued that magic wasn't real. Russia then got up and took the hand of the girl "We are leaving now. do svidaniya" He said as he walked out with the girl.
"...Dude, she's hot!" America said. "Lucky bastard." England added

Run.
You can't register anything else but what your brain told you to do - run, and get as far away as possible. With all the snow swirling through the sky, that isn't exactly an easy task. You can barely see ten feet in front of you, and the snow on the ground only grows thicker by the minute. The tiny frozen particles on the surface already reach up to the ankles of your little legs, but you can't let that stop you. You won't let that stop you.
Your lungs burn from the frosty air, causing breathing to be difficult. Your limbs tingle from having gone numb, what little scraps of clothing you possess not exactly being the best winter wear. Ga
